Skillwright is operated by Hand Coded Web LLC ("we", "us"). This page explains what information is involved when you use skillwright.io, in plain language. The short version: we run a deliberately minimal setup — no accounts, no tracking pixels, and your course progress never leaves your device.
Payments. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers — we never see or store them. Stripe shares with us the basic transaction record (such as the email you enter at checkout, the amount, and payment status) so we can verify your purchase and provide support and refunds. Stripe's own handling of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Support messages. If you use the contact form or email hello@handcodedweb.com, we receive what you send (your name, email, and message) and use it only to respond to you.
Course access. After purchase, an access pass is stored in your own browser (localStorage) to unlock the course on your device. Your lesson progress, scores, and companion state are also stored only in your browser — we don't have a copy.
We don't require accounts or passwords. We don't sell or share your information with third parties for marketing. We don't run advertising trackers. If we use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to count visits, it does not identify you personally.
We don't set advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for one thing: keeping your course unlocked and saving your progress on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it — keep your private access link so you can unlock again.
Transaction records are retained as required for accounting and tax purposes. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, or ask what information we hold about you, by emailing hello@handcodedweb.com.
